Be a Samurai for a Day!

Kids have fun learning REAL basic samurai techniques, etiquette and building and decorating their own samurai armour, sword and throwing stars. Lunch and snack must be provided.

• 8:30-9:00 a.m.

  • Arrival and Sign-in

• 9:00-10:00 a.m.

  • Samurai Warrior Karate Class

• 10:00-10:15 a.m.

  • Snack Break

• 10:15-11:15 a.m.

  • CRAFT: Origami Throwing Stars and Competition

• 11:15-12:00 p.m.

  • Cardboard Samurai Armour and Sword Building Workshop

• 12:00-12:30 p.m.

  • Lunch Break

• 12:30-1:45 p.m.

  • Walk to Colwood Creek Playground for outdoor time

• 1:45-2:15 p.m.

  • Japanese Language & Calligraphy; Armour Decorating with Paint

• 2:15-2:30 p.m.

  • Snack Break

• 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

  • REAL Japanese Battou-Jutsu Training (learn how to draw, show respect for and strike with a foam sword)

• 3:30 p.m.

  • Pick Up Time
