Kids Karate Program
Winter Term Starts Jan 6, 2026
Karate for Life
We build resilient, confident & empowered kids.
Now more than ever, young people need martial arts. As a parent of twin daughters, I understand the fear of putting your children into new or unfamiliar situations. Our Kids Karate Program demonstrates to children that they are powerful and important by giving them the tools and the practice to grow up strong, speak up for themselves and stay true to their values.
We Focus On:
Functional, movement-based strength, conditioning and flexibility drills that build physical literacy.
Shotokan kata and Okinawan Ryukyu kobudo weapons including staff, nunchaku, sai and more.
Japanese aiki-jujitsu techniques including grip releases, joint locks and throws.
Modern and practical Seienjuku style full and semi-contact continuous sparring.
Safety
🏳️🌈 Our programs proudly welcome everyone of all backgrounds and walks of life and are a safe space to be who you are.
⛑️ Our instructors are Intermediate First Aid (Standard) and Level C CPR/AED certified by St. John Ambulance and complete Safe Sport Training from the Coaching Association of Canada. An emergency first aid kit is on hand at all practices.
✅ We verify all instructors with a vulnerable sector background check through the Westshore RCMP.
